Friends of Ybor, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit formed by committed citizens in 2021 as a vehicle to activate the Ybor City community with thoughtfully curated public spaces.
The inaugural project for Friends of Ybor is the construction of a 4,000sf dog park on a vacant lot in the heart of Ybor. Sited on the corner of 18th Street and 4th Avenue – and next door to an inviting new cafe nestled within an adjacent people park – this urban infill dog park will be a welcomed amenity for the neighborhood and for the city.
The first gift to Friends of Ybor for the inaugural dog park project was the generous donation of the land which has kicked off our philanthropic solicitation of funds in order to construct and maintain this new and exciting community asset…The Ybor City Dog Park!
